I've just recently installed exciting nitrogen and wanted to test it by going through the diamond tutorial. I've followed all the steps, but I keep getting an error saying the input.xml file either does not exist or is not valid. I used 'XML and Exciting DataFormat' tutorial to check the validity of the input file, and it checked out. I've made sure all environment variables were set correctly (where EXCITINGROOT=/home/vsuezaki/exciting) and checked by using 'printenv'. When I ran the 'excitingser' binary file, I used './exciting/bin/excitingser', and it gave me the error about the input file. I tried moving the input file to my current directory (originally was in /home/vsuezaki/my_first_tutorial/diamond as tutorial specified), and then it gave me an error about the C.xml file not existing. Does it have something to do with the fact that we can't 'define "speciespath" by directly linking to the exciting-code site'? I don't know what this means and what we have to do to work around this?
Thank you.
